New court documents show the boy was assaulted during bible study when a man rubbed salt into cuts on his body and others looked on. The affidavit also says the same incident happened at a group home.
Heart of Worship Community Church pastor Lonny Remmers and church members Nick Craig and Darryll Jeter Jr. are already under arrest. They are accused of pinching the boy with pliers, beating him with a shovel, forcing him to dig a grave and threatening to kill him. The three have pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, assault and other felonies.
The boy's mother had taken him to the storefront church and asked the pastor to discipline him.
