Simon Helberg, who stars in the comedy series "The Big Bang Theory," is now a dad.
The 31-year-old "Big Bang Theory" actor and wife Jocelyn Towne, 35, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Adeline on May 8, People magazine reported. The two married in July 2007, three months before "The Big Bang Theory" debuted on CBS. He had previously starred on the short-lived NBC sitcom "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."
Helberg plays Howard Wolowitz on "The Big Bang Theory." He has also appeared on "MADtv," "Good Night, and Good Luck," and "A Cinderella Story." Helberg also makes up half of the comedy duo "Derek & Simon," along with actor Derek Waters.
Towne is also an actress and has appeared in films such as "Havoc" and in an episode of "Gilmore Girls." She recently directed and wrote her first movie, "I Am I," which stars her husband and is set to be released later this year.
The actor is one of the only married cast members of "The Big Bang Theory," which depicts the quirky lives of young, nerdy physicists. Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj Koothrappali, married Neha Kapur in December 2011. Mayim Bialik, formerly of the show "Blossom," plays Amy Farrah Fowler on the show and has been married since 2003. She and husband Michael Stone have two sons together.Pictured above: Simon Helberg and his wife, Jocelyn Towne, appear in a photo posted on the actor's Twitter page in November 2010.
