Doug Willmore, former El Segundo city manager, was chosen for the job. He's expected to sign a three-year contract, worth $175,000 a year. Bell's mayor says Willmore will help bring economic growth, integrity and pride back to the city.
Bell was rocked with scandal after the former city manager /*Robert Rizzo*/ was charged with fraud and misappropriation of public funds.
Rizzo's chief assistant and six former council members are also charged in the Bell scandal.
