San Bernardino Co. probation officer arrested in Glendora police impersonating case

GLENDORA, Calif.

A composite sketch released by police generated dozens of tips and leads from the public.

Douglass Weaver, a 43-year-old San Bernardino County probation correctional officer, was arrested Friday.

The Probation Department participated in the investigation with Glendora police. The department's newly formed Criminal Intelligence Unit identified Weaver from the police sketch and also matched the vehicle description released by authorities.

Police say Weaver made a DUI stop in Glendora on May 11, and then said he was giving the driver a break and drove him home.

He allegedly returned to the house later and tried to get friendly with the driver's sister.

Weaver is being held at the Glendora City Jail on charges of false imprisonment and impersonating a police officer. His Bail is set at $50,000.
