Jenny McCarthy confirmed she is dating Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, following months of speculation.
"I can confirm that yes it's true, we are dating," McCarthy told reporters at the Generation Rescue autism charity event on May 24, according to NBC. "Go Bears, that's all I can say."
Urlacher also attended the event for Jenny McCarthy's autism organization, which was inspired by the actress' 10-year-old son Evan. Urlacher has two daughters and a son from previous relationships.
The 39-year-old actress, TV host and former Playboy Playmate and the 34-year-old NFL star were first romantically linked in April, when they were spotted dining in a Los Angeles restaurant together.
In November 2011, McCarthy said in an interview on "Access Hollywood," that she was looking for a sweet man who has a job and she doesn't care if they have a big nose or are bald. McCartney also cited her Chicago upbringing and said "it's tough to find a man's man" in Los Angeles, where she lives.
McCarthy famously dated Jim Carrey for about five years before they announced their split in April 2010. In 2011, she dated sports agent Paul Krepelka for several months. McCarthy is a single mother as well - she and ex-husband John Mallory Asher, a director and actor, have one son - Evan, 9.
McCarthy is set to appear in the July 2012 issue of Playboy magazine, after deciding that she wanted to pose for the adult magazine one last time before she turns 40 in November.
"My comment on posing for Playboy: Why should only 20 yr olds be considered sexy? Let's here [sic] it for the MILFs," McCarthy Tweeted on May 22.
In February, it was announced that McCarthy had landed her own VH1 talk series, called "The Jenny McCarthy Show," which is set to debut later this year. The cable network said the program "will celebrate as well as skewer everyone and everything in pop culture, news, fashion, TV, movies and the web" and will "also feature guest panelists and celebrity interviews."
The comedian and actress will also host a new dating show, the NBC competition series "Love in the Wild," which is set to premiere on June 7 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
McCarthy rose to fame as Playboy magazine's 1994 Playmate of the Year and appeared as a host on MTV's dating show, "Singled Out." She has appeared in her own comedy series, "The Jenny McCarthy Show," guest starred on the sitcom "Two and a Half Men," had parts in movies such as "Dirty Love" and "Scream 3," and penned several books.
