Kim Kardashian is set to make her debut in a recurring role on "Drop Dead Diva" on June 3 and viewers got a glimpse of what to expect from the reality star in a clip, which can be seen below, released on May 29.
Kardashian's role on the Lifetime series was announced in January as a multiple episode arc. The 31-year-old plays a character named Nikki LePree, a juice bar worker / relationship guru.
In a clip from the show's season 4 premiere featured on Us Weekly, Kardashian is seen giving love advice to April Bowlby, who plays Stacy.
"Drop Dead Diva" is about a full-figured lawyer named Jane, played by Brooke Elliott, who is inhabited by the soul of the deceased ditzy model Deb. Jane/Deb works at a law firm with Deb's former fiance Grayson (played by Jackson Hurst), who has no idea the former love of his life works next to him every day.
Bowlby plays Jane/Deb's best friend Stacy, while Ben Feldman is Jane/Deb's guardian angel, Ben.
"In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor and passion," series creator and executive producer Josh Berman told The Hollywood Reporter about casting Kardashian. "This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim 'reinvented' in the world of 'Drop Dead Diva.'"
The reality star has played herself on television before in a February episode of "Last Man Standing," in a 2010 episode of "90210" and in a 2009 episode of "How I Met Your Mother."
In October, Kardashian was cast in the Tyler Perry film "The Marriage Counselor," in a supporting role as a fellow co-worker of the film's lead, a character named Judith, who will be played by former child actress Jurnee Smollett.
Kardashian meanwhile, has had roles in "Deep in the Valley" and "Disaster Movie." She also had a guest spot on "CSI: NY" in 2009.
