Detectives arrested Jesse Romo, 44, and booked on multiple charges of aggravated sexual assault, oral copulation and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
The victim is now an adult. She told the Simi Valley Police Department that Romo molested her on a regular basis when she was between the ages of 7 and 17.
Romo is a family member, according to police.
The abuse allegedly began in Simi Valley and continued as the family moved to Moreno Valley, then to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Romo was held at the East Valley jail. The investigation was ongoing.
