Newport Beach has reopened its trail system in the Buck Gully Reserve after making some improvements.

The city held a dedication ceremony Wednesday at the trail-head entrance, which is at 5th and Poppy avenues in Corona del Mar.

The looped trail path connects to San Joaquin Hills Road and includes four new bridges, making it safer to cross the creek.

The Buck Gully Reserve spans 300 acres and includes three miles of trails.
