Police received a call just after 10 p.m. Sunday about a man found in an alley near Samuel Avenue near La Canada Avenue. He was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was a 26-year-old Hispanic man. His name is being withheld pending notification of kin.
Investigators have no suspects and are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting. Anyone with information on the crime should contact the Oxnard Police Department at (805) 385-7650.
