Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld admitted in a recent interview that his kitten Choupette is "beyond spoiled," after posting photos of her playing with an iPad.

Choupette originally belonged to French model and muse Baptiste Giabiconi, but after watching the cat over the Christmas holiday, Lagerfeld did not want to give her back because she was "too cute."

"She is a famous beauty," Lagerfeld told Women's Wear Daily. "She is nine months old. Baptiste gave her to me for Christmas to watch for two weeks when he was away but then I refused to give her back. I thought she was too cute. She is like a kept woman. She has a strong personality."

The eccentric designer made his comments to WWD at the recent premiere of his "Little Black Jacket" exhibit in New York. Even though he counts a large number of fashion elite among his friends, Lagerfeld turned his kitten into his dining companion as well.

"She has lunch and dinner with me on the table, with her own food. She doesn't touch my food. She doesn't want to eat on the floor," Lagerfeld continued. "She sleeps under a pillow and she even knows how to use an iPad. She has two personal maids, for both night and day. She is beyond spoiled."

Choupette, whose name translates to "Sweetie" in English, also has two maids who keep a diary of everything she does.

"When I am not there, the maids take down, in little books, everything she did, from what she ate to how she behaved, if she was tired, and if she wasn't sleeping. In the nine months, we already have almost 600 pages."

The German Chanel designer, known for his trademark sunglasses, often posts photos of the object of his affection, including one of her playing with an iPad.

Karl Lagerfeld made headlines in February after commenting on Grammy-winning singer Adele's weight, saying that she is "a little too fat." He later explained that he is the singer's greatest admirer and reportedly sent the singer Chanel purses as an apology.

Lagerfeld, 78, talked about his own weight loss in his 2005 book, "The Karl Lagerfeld Diet." He says he lost more than 80 pounds in 13 months.

In 2004, after retailer H&M said that its stores would provide larger sizes of several of his designs for the company, he said: "What I created was fashion for slim, slender people."
