Road crews will begin closing southbound lanes to traffic beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday between the Getty Center on-ramp and Sunset Boulevard.
Lanes will be fully closed at midnight, when work is scheduled to commence. Lanes will remain closed until 5 a.m. Thursday.
Southbound freeway traffic will be detoured off the freeway at the Getty off-ramp onto Sepulveda Blvd. to the southbound Church Lane on-ramp.
Lanes will be re-striped, shifting lanes easterly closer to the median barrier. The same number of traffic lanes and the same width will remain after the re-striping is completed, according to Metro and Caltrans.
