Liam Hemsworth has received Billy Ray Cyrus' blessing after the "Hunger Games" star proposed to his daughter Miley Cyrus.
"All I ever hoped for as a Daddy was to see my kids reach their dreams. To find happiness...peace of mind ...and someday know... true love," Billy Ray Cyrus, 50, Tweeted on June 6.
The couple also received blessings from the rest of their families, who have gotten to know the couple over the three years they've been dating.
"Billy Ray loves Liam. He's happy his daughter has found the right guy," a source told People magazine. Hemsworth apparently spends a lot of time with the Cyrus family, who often barbecue together. Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus reportedly aren't worried about their teenage daughter marrying young and are "just so happy she's found someone who makes her so happy."
Hemsworth's family are also excited for the couple, having gotten to know Cyrus over Christmas and the holidays, when the pair visited Australia.
Cyrus, 19, and Hemsworth, 22, announced their engagement on June 6, 2012. The pair met in 2009 when they co-starred in Cyrus' film "The Last Song" and played love interests.
"I'm happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true? have a great day," Cyrus Tweeted on June 6. Hemsworth proposed to the singer and actress on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.
The pair sparked engagement rumors in March when Cyrus Tweeted a photo of a new manicure - with a prominent sparkler on her ring finger.
Just days after the March 24 photo was posted, however, Cyrus laughed off rumors using her Twitter account, writing on Twitter, "I'm not engaged, I've worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to tal [sic] about! It's a topaz people!"
The young actress got her start as the quirky preteen who leaded a double life in Disney's "Hannah Montana," and has since moved on to a successful solo music career and roles in films such as "Bolt" and "The Last Song." Hemsworth is known for his work in films, with movies such as "Knowing," "The Hunger Games" and his upcoming role in "Empire State" alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Emma Roberts.
