On May 22, a neighbor called police reporting a foul odor.
Police found a man's body in a hole in a backyard of a residence on the 200 block of East 11th Street.
The man had been shot and burned. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Angel Cortez.
Thursday police arrested 38-year-old Victor Angulo. Officers also arrested his girlfriend, 32-year-old Olga Varela as an accessory to murder.
