Ashley Tisdale, best known for her role on "High School Musical," has signed on to be a guest star on the gritty FX series, "Sons of Anarchy."
The 26-year-old actress will portray Emma Jean, a "high-priced escort who complicates the club's life," in a two-episode arc, according to Deadline. The show follows the lives of members of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club in the fictional city of Charming, California.
"This is what I'm so excited to be doing the next 2 weeks! thanks [Executive Producer Kurt Sutter] this is my favorite show i can't wait," Tisdale Tweeted on June 11.
In "High School Musical" and the subsequent sequels, Tisdale portrayed the spoiled mean girl Sharpay Evans. She has also appeared on "The Suite Life on Deck" and the CW cheerleader drama, "Hellcats." She also voices several characters on the animated series, "Phineas and Ferb."
It was announced earlier in the month that Tisdale would take over Anna Faris' role as the star of the fifth "Scary Movie" film, which mocks various scary films.
"Sons of Anarchy" was renewed by FX for a fifth and sixth season.
