Katy Perry's latest video for her single "Wide Awake" debuted on June 19 and features the singer in a fairy tale setting punching a charming, but lying, prince in the face.

The song is from the rerelease of the singer's multi-platinum album "Teenage Dream." The video, which can be seen below, was directed by Tony "Truand" Datis and during the video, Perry comes face to face with a little girl who looks just like her.

The girl gets on a bike that has a vanity plate that reads "KATHERYN." Perry's birth name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.

Together, Perry and the girl escape paparazzi as the fantasy world they've been running through beings to fall apart. Later, Perry is seen in a wheelchair as little Katheryn stomps out some villains with bull heads.

Perry is able to get up and escape and the two are brought to a garden with a Prince Charming-like man who is waiting on a white unicorn. The prince goes to kiss Perry, who promptly punches him in the face.

"I'm wide awake. I was in the dark, I was falling hard with an open heart," Perry sings in the song about heartbreak. "How did I read the stars so wrong. I was dreaming for so long. I wish I knew then what I know now. I wouldn't dive in, I wouldn't bow down."

Perry split from husband Russell Brand late last year. The British comedian cited "irreconcilable differences" in the documents, which were filed in a Los Angeles Superior Court on December 30, 2011. The couple had no children together.

Katy Perry's upcoming 3D documentary, "Katy Perry: Part of Me," is slated to hit theaters on July 5 and will give fans an inside view of the pop star's international tour and personal life, including her relationship with Brand.
