Authorities received a 911 call that there was a woman with a gun in a burgundy Toyota at Sycamore and Spruce avenues at about 2:30 a.m. When police arrived, they saw the vehicle parked in the middle of the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Cedar Street, one block east of Spruce Avenue.
An officer-involved shooting occurred shortly after. It was unclear what prompted the officers to open fire, and it was not yet known if the suspect was armed or opened fire.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
No officers were injured in the incident.
