Irvine mom accused of framing volunteer wrote book on perfect crime

IRVINE, Calif.

Jill Easter and her husband Kent, both 38, are accused of trying to frame the adult volunteer in 2011 because they felt she didn't properly supervise their son.

In a bizarre twist to the story, it became known that Jill Easter was also known as Ava Bjork, author of the novel "Holding House."

Promotional material for the book says, "Everyone dreams of the perfect crime," and for the book's characters, "unforeseen events cause their dream crime to unravel into a nightmare."

The couple is scheduled to be arraigned on July 17 at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
