Teri Hatcher talks to OnTheRedCarpet.com at an April 2012 Wisteria Lane Block party about the finale of 'Desperate Housewives.' / Teri Hatcher debuts a short haircut at Los Angeles concert venue The Hollywood Bowl's opening night event on Friday, June 22, 2012.

Teri Hatcher recently showcased a short, bob hairstyle after years of appearing with long locks on "Desperate Housewives."

The ABC drama series ended in May after eight seasons. Hatcher, who played sassy Susan Delfino on the show, debuted her new look at Los Angeles concert venue The Hollywood Bowl's opening night of the 2012 summer season on Friday.

The 47-year-old actress' brunette hair color is currently also slightly lighter than her previous style and her locks end at her chin. She has not been seen with hair that short in years. She sported a bob haircut in the 1999 movie "Fever," in the 1997 James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies," in which she played Bond Girl Paris Carver, and in the show that first made her famous - the 1990s series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman."

The actress recently began a four-episode arc on the ABC Family series "Jane By Design," which sees her playing the formerly estranged mother of 16-year-old Jane, played by Erica Dasher, and her older brother Ben, played by David Clayton Rogers. Hatcher's character has long hair.

The Hollywood Bowl event Hatcher attended featured performances from singer Reba McEntire and Chaka Khan. The actress told OnTheRedCarpet.com that she grew up on their music and has always enjoyed watching concerts at the venue.

"The Hollywood Bowl is just one of my favorite places to be, has been for all the years I've lived in Los Angeles," Hatcher said. "I usually make a real event of it. I'm quite the picnicker, right down to the vintage tablecloths and the caviar and the splits of wine to go with different dishes. I brought my daughter and friends and parents over the years."

"I've been here to see reggae, I saw the [Rolling] Stones here," she added. "I think my first concert here was the Doobie Brothers, I think back in the '80s or something, or Fleetwood Mac, no - the Doobie Brothers! You're eating food, you're with friends. It's such a magical evening."
