Paris Hilton made her professional debut as a deejay at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The hotel heiress played a one-hour set on June 23, which included songs like Rihanna's "We Found Love" and her own single "Last Night," according to E! News.
"Wow! What an incredible night! So happy you all loved my set," Hilton Tweeted to her followers on June 23. "Loved watching you all smile & dance! One of the best night's of my life!"
Hilton told E! News that she has been working with DJ Poet, who deejays and produces music for the Black Eyed Peas, to hone her skills as a deejay.
"I also spent the last year traveling to different shows around the world with Afrojack," she told the entertainment news site. "This was a great experience, to watch how he engages the crowd and creates great energy at these parties."
Hilton goes on to say that music is her "personal passion" but won't be dropping her business opportunities to pursue deejaying full time.
Hilton first showcased her deejay skills about eight years ago, performing at house parties. She won the title of "Best Celebrity DJ" at the DanceStar Music Awards in 2004, beating Rosanna Arquette, Adrien Brody, Danny Masterson and Michael Douglas' son Cameron Douglas.
"Stars are Blind," a 2006 reggae pop song, was Hilton's most memorable single. It was a top 10 hit in many countries in Europe and also hit No. 1 on Billboard's U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. However, Hilton's music career never took off after her debut record's release. She is hoping to make a comeback - this summer, she plans to release a second album and a single she recorded with the dance group LMFAO.
"I've known them since I was a little girl," she told MTV News in January. "We grew up together 'cause our parents are friends, so I'm just so proud of them and all their success and what they've done 'cause they've just created this whole 'Party Rock' brand and it's just so awesome."
