The 33-year-old musician married his Nashville-based singer-songwriter sweetheart, 28, in a Tennessee ceremony in November 2009.
"I can proudly announce that me & the lovely @JessieBaylin are expecting our first child. I'm beyond excited/anxious. Life is beautiful," he Tweeted on Wednesday, June 27.
The pair are expecting their bundle of joy to arrive in December, Followill's rep told the Associated Press.
