Fullerton bank robbery suspect arrested in Highland

FULLERTON, Calif.

"Fast" Fred Hodges was arrested outside a Highland residence on the 25000 block of Byron Street Tuesday.

Hodges is alleged to have entered a Chevron gas station at 1201 E. Orangethorpe Avenue on June 4. He allegedly brandished a gun in his waistband to the clerk and stole an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

Hodges is alleged to have robbed a Bank of the West branch at 3021 E. Yorba Linda Boulevard on June 18. Police say he approached a teller with a note stating he had a weapon and he wanted money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
