OTRC: BET Awards 2012: Full list of nominees

The 2012 BET Awards ceremony airs live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, July 1, at 8 p.m. ET and is hosted by "The Avengers" star Samuel L. Jackson.

"We are massively excited about having Sam Jackson, the world's biggest box office star, host The BET Awards 12," Stephen G. Hill, president of music programming and specials, BET Networks said in a statement. "His wit, presence and gigantic personality are the perfect match for our show."

Nicki Minaj, Usher, Chris Brown, Cissy Houston, Yolanda Adams, D'Angelo, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Big Sean, Wale, G.O.O.D. Music, Y'Anna Crawley, Amber Bullock, Jessica Reedy, Melanie Fiona and 2 Chainz are among the performers.

Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jamie Fox, Quentin Tarantino and Tyler Perry are among the celebrities who are expected to attend.

The show is produced by BET Networks, touted as "the nation's leading provider of quality entertainment, music, news and public affairs television programming for the African-American audience."
