Twenty-six models of Chicco Polly brand chairs are included in the recall. They were sold online and at major chain stores, including Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby and Toys R Us, beginning in January 2005.
At least 21 children have received cuts or bruises from pegs on the back legs of the chairs that are meant to store the tray. Four children required stitches and one suffered a scratched cornea.
The company is providing free kits to cover the pegs. Consumers can make the requests online or call (800) 807-8817.
