Will Ferrell was visibly upset over Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's split on Thursday night's "Conan."

"I don't know if you follow the news at all, but there's this actress, Kristen Stewart, she goes by K-Stew," Ferrell explained. "And she had a boyfriend, Robert Patterson, he goes by R-Pass, and she cheated on him. And they're broken up, they're not going to get back together - ever!"

The comedian and actor was near tears, explaining that the fate of the "Twilight Saga" stars had left him with many questions.

"What they had was so special, Conan. You don't even know what they had. They were in love. And she just threw it all away," Ferrell continued. "I don't know if there was anything I could have done to have prevented it... I don't know what it means to the 'Twilight' franchise! I just don't know. It's not going to be fine! Ever!"

When a slightly bewildered O'Brien tried to comfort Ferrell, the "Campaign" actor told the host, "What they had was so special, you don't even know! You'd never know!"

"What do you mean I'd never know? I've been in love," O'Brien pleaded.

"Not like them!" Ferrell fired back. "Not like them. She is a trampire! That's what she is. She is a trampire!"

On July 24, a report went viral claiming that Stewart cheated on her "Twilight Saga" co-star and boyfriend Robert Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, the director of her recently released film "Snow White and the Huntsman."

The day after the scandalous news made headlines, Stewart issued a public apology to Pattinson for her "momentary indiscretion."

Sanders is married to model Liberty Ross, the sister of Oscar-winning composer Atticus Ross. The couple has two children. Sanders, who is English, started out directing commercials. "Snow White and the Huntsman" is his first feature film.

Stewart and Pattinson are set to tour to promote the last installment of the extremely popular "Twilight" series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." The film is set to premiere November 16, 2012.

Ferrell is currently promoting "The Campaign," which sees him as a long-term North Carolina congressman Cam Brady who finds himself competing with local tourism center director Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis) for another term.

"The Campaign" is slated for release on August 10. Watch a trailer and Ferrell's appearance on "Conan" below.
