Van Nuys traffic-school operator arrested for manufacturing, selling fraudulent documents

LOS ANGELES

Otto Escobar allegedly sold traffic-school completion documents, Guatemalan passports and Department of Homeland Security forms from the OK Driving School that he ran in Van Nuys. He allegedly sold some of the documents to undercover law enforcement officers, according to the sheriff's department.

Investigators found evidence including dozens of fraudulent rubber stamps, blank passports and blank California government documents in Escobar's business, home and vehicle.

Escobar was targeted in a joint investigation conducted by investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations and the California Department of Motor Vehicles Investigations Division.

Escobar was released on $20,000 bond.
