Courtney Stodden, the 17-year-old aspiring reality star who married 52-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, have reportedly landed a spot on VH1's "Couples Therapy."

"FYI Stoddenista's: Will be m.i.a for about 3 weeks - packing up & heading out to shoot a reality show! Love you all xxx God Bless, Courtney," Stodden Tweeted on July 30.

TMZ reported that the reality show in question is "Couples Therapy," where Stodden and Hutchison, along with four other couples, received "intense counseling" in their relationships.

A source told the entertainment outlet, that the couple admitted that there are "obvious problems in their relationship because of their age difference and the notoriety they've gotten because of their relationship."

VH1 did not immediately comment on the reported casting. It was reported in December 2011 that Stodden and Hutchison had turned down a spot on VH1's "Relationship Rehab," because they felt they didn't need help in their relationship at the time.

Past celebrity couples to appear on "Couples Therapy" include "The Bachelor Bad" stars Vienna Girardi and her boyfriend Kasey Kahl and wrestler Hulk Hogan's ex-wife Linda Hogan, 52, and her 23-year-old boyfriend Charlie Hill. Notably, both of these couples subsequently parted ways.

Hutchison, who is best known for his roles in "The Green Mile" and "LOST," received a lot of criticism and death threats for being nearly three-times as old as his teenage bride.

Last year, the pair opened up about their relationship on "Good Morning America" and Hutchison confessed that he did not know Stodden was underage when they began their online courtship.

"My world turned upside down," Hutchison told "Good Morning America" in July 2011. "It didn't make me want to walk away, but it definitely was a struggle inside my heart... because I had already started falling for her? I always joke with Courtney that one of the reasons we worked is 'cause she's 16 going on 36, and I'm 51 going on 21."

Hutchison was dropped by his manager and agent after the wedding. His mother and brother have also cut ties over the controversial union.

The couple told "Good Morning America" that they are being courted by producers interested in creating a reality show and "see the goldmine potential in their relationship."

Hutchison, who played DHARMA initiative leader and resident hippie Horace Goodspeed on "LOST," wed Stodden in Las Vegas in May 2011. According to a statement on the actor's website, "Doug Anthony Hutchison and Courtney Alexis Stodden became husband and wife on Friday May 20th, 2011, at 12 pm in The Little Chapel of Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison live together happily ensconced in their Hollywood Hills home with their lil' pups, Everette and Tuna."

The Clark County, Nevada Marriage Bureau website states that the legal age an applicant can apply for a marriage license is 18. However, minor applicants aged 16 or 17 may also apply for a license, but must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Stodden's mother signed the legal consent form on the marriage license.
