Kate Bosworth got engaged to her boyfriend Michael Polish and revealed the news in a recent blog post, casually referring to the director as her fiance.
"On our first day in Seoul, my fiance, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace," Bosworth wrote in her August 1 travel blog on Vogue.com, after her recent trip to South Korea.
The 29-year-old "Straw Dogs" actress and Polish met on the set of their upcoming film, "Big Sur," which is slated for release later this year.
Bosworth and the 41-year-old "Twin Falls Idaho" director, writer and star made their debut as a couple in August 2011, at a Coldplay concert.
Bosworth was previously linked for two years to "True Blood" actor Alexander Skarsgard. The couple parted ways in July 2011.
Bosworth rose to fame after appearing in the 2002 movie "Blue Crush." She has since appeared in films like "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton," "21" and "Superman Returns."
The actress dated "Lord of the Rings" actor Orlando Bloom between 2002 and 2006. Last year, Bloom welcomed a child with his wife Miranda Kerr.
