The incident happened in the 900 block of Lewis Lane.
Neighbors called 911 at about 9:45 p.m. Thursday. When deputies arrived, they found the man, identified as 41-year-old Ricardo Gonzalez, in the front yard of a home. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say he was shot in the head. The shooting is not believed to be gang related.
