Buck Fire in Riverside County expected to be contained Saturday

HEMET, Calif.

The wildfire started around 1 p.m. Tuesday in Aguanga near Sage and Lewis Valley roads. Officials said a lightning strike triggered the fire. Full containment is expected on Saturday morning, officials said.

Close to 2,700 acres have been blackened. Five people were injured, including four firefighters. An evacuation order has been lifted, and nearly four dozen residents returned to their homes.

More than 400 firefighters have been assisting in the firefight, as well as seven water-dropping helicopters and 11 air tankers.
