Since November 21, 2011, when Regis Philbin bade farewell to daytime television, Ripa has invited a revolving door of guest hosts to sit next to her and chat.
And just when we thought she may never find that perfect person, someone has fit the bill.
Who? We won't know until he or she joins Ripa live on Tuesday, September 4.
Ripa will kick off the new season on Monday, September 3, acting as a solo host for the first time, and the following day, September 4, will mark the first day the new co-host team officially will helm the show together.
