Kyra Sedgwick donned a light and airy dress to the premiere of her 2012 horror film "The Possession" on August 28 in Los Angeles.
The 47-year-old also showcased a slightly shorter hairstyle at the event. She paired her long, white frock, which showcased her slender frame, with strappy sandals and bangles.
"The Possession," which premieres on August 31, follows a young girl, played by Natasha Calis, who buys an antique box at a yard sale, unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl's father, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, teams up with his ex-wife, played by Sedgwick, to find a way to end the curse upon their child.
Sedgwick was joined at the premiere by her co-stars from the film, Morgan and singer Matisyahu, along with a number of other actors (See photos).
The actress recently ended her long-time gig as Brenda Leigh Johnson on the long-running hit TNT crime drama "The Closer." The show premiered in 2005 and the final episode aired on August 13, 2012. The role earned the actress an Emmy in 2010 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
