Adele has slammed rumors that she recently wed her fiance Simon Konecki in a secret wedding.
The 24-year-old singer shot down reports that she was already married to the 38-year-old CEO, Tweeting on August 30, "I'm not married...Zzzzzzz"
The UK's Daily Mail was the first entertainment outlet to claim that Adele had married Konecki, quoting a source as saying, "They did get married, and I was present. It was a fabulous occasion... Adele was dressed in classic attire and Simon looked very smart and joyous."
Adele announced on June 29 that she and Konecki are expecting their first child.
"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," Adele wrote on her official website. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."
The singer was photographed wearing what appeared to be a wedding band in July. It has been speculated that Adele is due to give birth in September, though a due date was never announced.
Adele first met Konecki in the summer of 2011. He co-founded the UK-based bottled water company Life Water and also heads its charity, Drop4Drop, which brings clean water to developing countries, according to People magazine.
Konecki has a daughter from a previous marriage, according to the UK newspaper The Daily Mail.
The singer has won eight Grammys since 2008, when she was named Best New Artist, and is known for hit singles such as "Rolling In the Deep" and "Someone Like You." The songs are from her second studio album, "21," an autobiographical record that had a breakup theme inspired by her own love life.
Adele has been on a break from recording music since she underwent vocal cord microsurgery in November 2011.
