Former "LOST" actor and "Alcatraz" star Jorge Garcia will reportedly be starring in an episode of "Once Upon A Time" next season.
The actor will play the role of "The Giant," a spokesperson from the show confirmed to OTRC.com. No other details were given about Garcia's role but he is just the latest "LOST" actor to be cast in the series. The news was also reported by Entertainment Weekly.
Emilie de Ravin, who played Claire Littleton on "LOST" has appeared on the show as Belle from the "Beauty and the Beast" tale during season 1. According to the magazine, the actress has been added on the second season as a series regular. Alan Dale, who played Charles Widmore on "LOST" appeared on several episodes of "Once Upon A Time" as King George.
Garcia's addition isn't the only casting update for the series. Jamie Chung of "The Hangover Part II" and "Suckerpunch" has been cast as Mulan, "Tudors" actress Sarah Bolger will play Princess Aurora of the "Sleeping Beauty" fairytale while "Pretty Little Liars" actor Julian Morris will play her love interest Prince Phillip and Sinqua Walls of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Teen Wolf" will play King Arthur's right hand man Sir Lancelot.
It was reported in early August that Irish actor Colin O'Donoghue had been cast as the evil pirate Captain Hook on the fairytale drama. The actor will appear sometime during the show's second season.
The 31-year-old actor has appeared in films like "The Rite" and "Wild Decembers." He has also had roles on television series like "Proof," "The Tudors" and "The Clinic."
On the season finale of "Once Upon A Time," the spell over the town appeared to be broken as the modern day characters started to remember their fairy tale beginnings and a purple cloud began to engulf the town.
"Once Upon a Time" actors Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, Meghan Ory and Emilie de Ravin attended the panel with the show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.
The new season began filming on July 16, the cast told the crowd, according to The Associated Press. The creators also promised that Henry's father would be revealed in season 2.
The show stars Morrison as Emma Swan, the daughter of Snow White (Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Dallas). Swan is also Henry's biological mother but she gave the child up for adoption at birth. The baby was later adopted by the Evil Queen (Parrilla).
"Once Upon A Time" returns on Sept. 30, 2012 and will air on Sundays at 8 p.m. Check out the season 2 preview of "Once Upon A Time" below.
