Bobby Brown took to his official Twitter page on Saturday, September 1, to confirm reports that his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, was rushed to the hospital.
"The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and in good spirits," Brown wrote. "Please keep my family in your prayers."
Brown did not specifically state why his wife was in the hospital but Etheredge-Brown reportedly suffered a seizure on September 1 at the couple's hotel room while Brown was doing a sound check for the New Edition show at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, according to People magazine.
The couple wed in June with a ceremony in Hawaii. Brown, 43, popped the question during a concert in Jacksonville, Florida in May 2010. The two have a 3-year-old son named Cassius who was the ring bearer at the ceremony.
Brown's older children, Landon 23, La'Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19 -- from previous relationships -- also attended the ceremony. Bobbi Kristina Brown, his daughter with the late singer Whitney Houston, did not attend the ceremony.
Bobby Brown and Houston were married for 15 years before getting a divorce in 2007.
In August it was reported that Brown had entered rehab as part of an agreement with the state of California for a March 2012 arrest for using his cell phone on a public way without a headset and the suspicion of driving under the influence.
