Blake Lively and Salma Hayek both turned heads at the launch party for the new fragrance Gucci Premiere at the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy on Saturday.
Lively, the 25-year-old star of the CW series "Gossip Girl," wore a burgundy Gucci sleeveless, deep v-neck mini-dress with flower detail around the neckline and matching Gucci strappy, stiletto sandals. Hayek arrived in a black chiffon, long-sleeve, over-the-knee Gucci Fall-Winter 2012-13 dress with a beaded bodice and embroidered skirt.
Lively, who recently appeared with Hayek in the movie "Savages," is the star of the posh company's new commercial for the Gucci Premiere fragrance. The ad's director, Nicholas Winding Ref, joined the stars at the premiere.
Hayek's husband, François-Henri Pinault, is the CEO of PPR, the parent company of Gucci. On Friday, the day before the fragrance launch, the two attended the Gucci Award for Women in Cinema event. Hayek presented the prize to Thelma Schoonmaker, who was honored for her work as the editor for Martin Scorsese's 2011 movie "Hugo."
Schoonmaker was nominated for an Oscar for her editing work on the film and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" had instead won the prize in the category. Scoonmaker has three Academy Awards under her belt - for "Raging Bull," "The Aviator" and "The Departed."
Lively and Hayek, who turned 46 on Sunday, join a slew of celebrities who have flocked to the Italian city for the 2012 Venice Film Festival, which runs between August 29 and September 8.
