Rihanna recently showcased her latest tattoo, which she had inked in honor of her grandmother, who died in July.
The tattoo runs underneath her chest and shows the Egyptian goddess Isis with bird's wings splayed across the singer's torso. The goddess is seen as a symbol of motherhood and was believed by many to be the mother of the war god, Horus. Rihanna posted a photo of her appearing topless with her new ink on her Instagram page (see it here - warning: NSFW)
"Goddess Isis- Complete Woman - Model for future generations," the singer Tweeted. "#GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1lo."
Rihanna had shared memories and photos of her grandmother on Twitter following her death. She passed away after battling cancer.
The singer is believed to have at least 17 tattoos. She posted the photo of her latest one on Sunday, the day she performed at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympic Games at Olympic Stadium in London, along with Coldplay and Jay-Z. (pictured above)
