Sara Rue of "Less Than Perfect" and "Popular" fame is pregnant with her first child.

The 33-year-old actress revealed the news to OTRC.com host Rachel Smith and debuted her baby bump as she walked the press line before taking part in a preview screening and panel discussion for her latest project, the ABC sitcom "Malibu Country," at the The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, September 11 (See video above). The show's lead star is Reba McEntire.

"It's her, his - I don't know yet - first red carpet," Rue said at the star-studded event. "I literally [announced it] on Twitter in the car on the way over. Like, 'Oh, by the way, I'm pregnant.' The truth is, my first trimester, you don't want to tell anybody."

"It was a puke-tastic few months for me," she added. "So I was like, you know, let's juit stay home and spare everybody that gruesome detail. And then we've been busy and I haven't gone out anywhere so I was like, 'I'll just wait. This is a good night as ever.'"

Rue Tweeted about her upcoming arrival, saying: "Over the moon to announce my pregnancy! My bump will be doing its first red carpet tonight!"

Rue wed Kevin Price, a teacher, in May 2011. She was previously married to first husband Mischa Livingstone for four years before they split in 2007. The actress has no previous children.

Rue began her on-screen acting career as a child in the 1980s and went on to have a small but memorable role as a cynical high school student in the 1998 cult teen film "Can't Hardly Wait." She then played Carmen on the series "Popular," a nurse in the 2001 blockbuster "Pearl Harbor" and a babysitter in the 2002 thriller "The Ring."

Rue later played Claude, a bubbly TV station employee and the main star of the sitcom "Less Than Perfect," which also featured Zachary Levi, Andy Dick and Sherri Shepherd. The comedy series aired between 2002 and 2006. Rue later had recurring roles on the shows "Two and a Half Men," "The Big Bang Theory," "Rules of Engagement" and the 2010 short-lived ABC mystery series "Eastwick."

"Malibu Country" premieres on Nov. 2, 2012 and marks McEntire's return to TV full time since her sitcom 'Reba' ended its run in 2007 (see which shows premieres in fall 2012). In the new ABC series, she plays a country singer who splits from her cheating husband, also a country star, and moves her kids and mother, played by Lily Tomlin, from Nashville to posh Malibu, California.

"It's amazing, because it feels like from when we shot the pilot to now, I mean it feels like four years have passed honestly," she explained. "I'm so excited for people to finally see it, because I've been talking about it, and I've been thinking about the character, and Reba and Lily are both so wonderful together and to work with, so it's really fun to like, get to share it with everybody finally, as opposed to have - I had a lot of little secrets this summer, so it's nice to kind of have them out, it's fun."

Rue plays a sexy, blonde Malibu socialite whose son befriends McEntire's on-screen daughter.

"For this character, I watched countless hours of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County,' Rue told OTRC.com and other outlets at ABC's Television Critics Association panel on July 27. "And that is what I based my character on completely. You can really credit 'The Real Housewives of Orange County,' because that's what I do."
