George Clooney's rep has denied that the actor broke up with Stacy Keibler, calling reports a "total fabrication."
"A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true. Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers," the actor's rep, Stan Rosenfield, told E! News.
The Sun, which is also in hot water with the Royal Family after publishing Prince Harry's nude photos, claimed that Keibler was telling friends that the relationship had ended.
"She said George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married," The Sun quoted a source "a pal of Stacy's" as saying. "Stacy hoped they would be together long-term. It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents. But over the last few weeks George has pulled away from her."
The 51-year-old actor and Keibler have been dating since last summer. The pair went public with their relationship in September 2011, stepping out together at the Toronto Film Festival for the premiere Clooney's film "The Ides of March," which sees Clooney playing a U.S. presidential candidate.
The couple has spent much of the summer at Clooney's estate in Lake Como, Italy. Last month, they were struck with food poisoning after visiting Cernobbio, Italy.
Apparently, everyone survived the unpleasant experience relatively unscathed and Clooney and Keibler are feeling better.
It was announced in August that Keibler would host the Lifetime reality series, "Supermarket Superstars," which will give chefs the chance to compete to get their product on grocery store shelves by pitching their food products to a panel of three mentors.
