Christina Aguilera has revealed the sexy cover art and release date of her next single, "Your Body."
Aguilera made the reveal during a Q&A session with fans on Twitter, announcing that "Your Body" will be released on September 14. The song was produced by Max Martin, who also produced the Maroon 5 hit "Moves Like Jagger," where Aguilera did guest vocals.
She also revealed the album cover, where she appears to be naked, covered in a see-through pale pink sheet of fabric.
The 31-year-old singer also told fans that a special clip of the music video for "Your Body" will premiere on "The Voice" on September 17. The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also directed Rihanna's "We Found Love" music video, which was named Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Aguilera was recently spotted wearing a skin tight black dress, hot-pink pumps, a dip-dyed pink wig and carrying a baseball bat on the set of the video for "Your Body," according to photos published in The New York Daily News.
She also told fans that her next album will be released in November.
She also revealed the name of the album, Tweeting. "Album title: Lotus. Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives."
"Conceptually I didn't target one particular sound/genre. I made [what] felt good," Aguilera wrote of "Lotus," adding, "[My inspirations were] self expression and freedom. The album represents a rebirth for me."
Aguilera's last album, a 2010 dance and electronic album titled "Bionic," sold just 310,000 units and was her first album to not reach platinum status.
Since then, Aguilera has gone through a divorce, found new love and came back into the public eye on "The Voice." Aguilera and Jordan Bratman were married for five years before she filed for divorce in 2010. They have a 4-year-old son, Max.
"The Voice," where Aguilera serves as a mentor alongside Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, premiered its third season on September 10.
The new album features Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine, Maroon 5 front man, told Aguilera at a recent news conference for the show that he'd heard "Your Body" and added, "I hate you because it's so good."
