Michael Madsen of "Kill Bill" was arrested for DUI on Wednesday, six months after being cleared of child cruelty charges.
The 54-year-old actor was pulled over on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California around 2:50 p.m. on September 12 and was later booked on DUI charges, the Sheriff's Department confirmed to OTRC.com.
Madsen made headlines earlier in the year, after being cleared of child cruelty charges, stemming from a March 9 incident.
Patrol deputies were called to a Malibu residence by a report of a family disturbance. Madsen apparently appeared under the influence of alcohol, according to the department, and allegedly got into a physical altercation with his teenage son.
Prosecutors decided on March 14 that there was insufficient evidence to file any charges.
Madsen's attorney Perry Wander told TMZ that Madsen "found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It's a family matter and Michael asks that his family's privacy be respected."
Madsen is best known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino movies like "Reservoir Dogs" and "Kill Bill." He also appeared in "Donnie Brasco" and "Free Willy."
Madsen, who is the brother of actress Virginia Madsen, has been married three times and has five sons from two of his marriages. His first marriage, to Cher's half sister Georganne LaPiere produced two sons. He has been married to Deanna Morgan since 1996, they have three sons together.
