Dina Lohan was accused by ex-husband Michael Lohan of being drunk during a recent interview with Dr. Phil, which is set to air on September 17, 2012.
In a preview for the episode of "Dr. Phil," Dina is shown getting distracted and emotional while talking about her 26-year-old daughter Lindsay Lohan. She is also shown making fun of the TV psychologist, telling him, "You're like in your little tie, your little shoes..."
The Lohan matriarch told E! News that she was not drunk, when the show was filmed at 10 a.m. a few months ago, and instead insists that the clip was edited to make her look bad.
"Watch the entire show," Dina Lohan told E! News. "I could care less what [Michael] says! The truth about him will be out no worries."
Michael Lohan weighed in on his estranged wife in the clip itself, asking Dr. Phil if she was drunk for the appearance. He also spoke out about it to the media.
"I haven't seen the full interview yet, but from what I HAVE seen and Dina's comments that it was 'doctored' (no pun intended), I really think it's sad and I feel sorry for Dina!" Michael Lohan told E! News. "Over the last seven years she has come to such a bad place! It's sad! And the denial continues! She just needs to be honest with HERSELF and others. Only then will her heart get right and our children will find peace!"
Michael Lohan has had his own problems and appeared on a recent season of the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," to deal with anger management issues. He has also battled alcohol addiction and has over the past decade spent more than five non-consecutive years in prison after being charged with driving under the influence, attempted assault of his then-girlfriend, insider trading, and violating his parole.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan appears to be making a comeback, having recently filmed the Lifetime TV movie, "Liz & Dick," which follows the romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
The actress will also appear in an adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' "The Canyons" opposite 26-year-old porn actor James Deen.
