Kids Consignment Sale is paradise for parents

BURBANK, Calif.

There are huge discounts on kids stuff, and there's everything from toys and bikes to clothes and furniture.

"We work very hard to put together a sale that benefits everyone. You can come here get name brand products for 70 percent off," said organizer Kristen Nelson.

There are other consignment stores out there, but they don't come close to this one. It's considered the largest kids consignment sale in Southern California. Six hundred families contributed more than 60,000 items. When one of their items is sold, they receive percentage of the sale.

Maida Garacochea is not only a consignor, she's a worker and shopper.

"I love it here. I've been here for four to five years now. I would sell my daughter's clothing, and the income that's coming in, we purchase her clothing here," she said.

If you can think of it, you can likely buy it here. Everything is checked for quality before displayed.

This is the sale's eighth year. What started as a garage sale now takes place in a 37,000 square-foot warehouse.

And as this event has expanded over the years, so has its inventory. They now sell women's shoes and designer handbags.

The sale is open this weekend only, Thursday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Burbank. For more information, visit the website for L.A. Kids Consignment.
