Tom Cruise reportedly misses his 6-year-old daughter Suri and calls her "several times a day," while filming a movie in Europe.
"He calls Suri every day - sometimes twice a day," Cruise's attorney, Bert Fields told E! News. "He loves Suri and is a constant presence in her life. As in the past, when he's shooting in a foreign country, he has to rely on daily phone calls."
Holmes and Cruise announced on July 9 that they reached a settlement over their divorce. The actress reportedly has primary custody of the child. The divorce was finalized last month, which was also the last time Cruise saw his daughter.
A source told People magazine that Tom and Suri are "very very close" and that the actor is "up on everything that's going on in her life.
Cruise has been in England, filming "All You Need Is Kill" opposite Emily Blunt. The 50-year-old actor was spotted leaving Annabel's Private Members Club in London at 3 a.m. on September 19, as shown in photos obtained by Perez Hilton.
Cruise flew from California to New York in July to reunite with Suri. A picture of him carrying his daughter in the city was posted on Us Weekly magazine's website. It is believed to be their first in-person encounter since a settlement had been reached and the first time they'd been seen in public together since the divorce was announced.
Holmes and her daughter have been adjusting to life in New York. The 33-year-old actress enrolled Suri in Avenues School in New York's Chelsea neighborhood, where she began first grade on September 11, People reported.
Holmes' daughter had previously been home-schooled. The Los Angeles Times reported that the role of Cruise's religion, Scientology, in the child's upbringing was a key part of the couple's negotiations over their divorce and custody arrangements.
