Kirstie Alley finds the eliminations are even tougher the second time around on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars."
Alley, 61, appears on the series with her original partner from season 12, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. On Monday's premiere, they received 19 out of 30 points from the judges for their Foxtrot, marking the second lowest score of the night. Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus came in last place during the show, earning a 17 out of 30 for their Cha Cha Cha, and were the first out of the 13 couples to be eliminated.
"I felt more sad, because it felt like, you've already done it once and you were chosen to be an all-star, you know?" Alley told OTRC.com George Pennacchio after the results were revealed. "I mean obviously nobody wants to go home, but it's just sad from the point of view - it's probably the saddest if you're the one that goes. It's a little bit double sad so I'd say, it's because of the 'All-Stars.'"
The actress, known for her role in the 80s television show "Cheers" and the "Look Who's Talking" movies, made it to the second place spot when she competed in 2011, losing to athlete Hines Ward. The personality explained her new and fresh outlook on the all-star competition.
"We're getting more creative - it's a journey, right?" Alley said. "It's a marathon, not a sprint."
"Part of this partnership is Kirstie Alley," Chmerkovskiy said. "I am just one of the members of the audience. I observe, I participate, I tune in every rehearsal - I have no idea what's going to happen, I have no idea how it's going to end - and somehow we come out Monday nights and it's amazing. It was amazing."
While it's unclear what dance the pair will be performing on week 2 of the series, Alley did give one cryptic hint.
"Different color hair," Alley said. "I'm giving you a little hint: different color hair...So people will be looking at my hair instead of my feet."On Monday night's show, Alley turned up the heat when she planted a long, sizzling kiss on the lips of co-host Tom Bergeron (Photo). "That's for your Emmy!" she declared after a second, as he looked dazed and the audience cheered.
Bergeron, who had won his first Primetime Emmy award the night before, for his work on the show, posted an Instagram photo of the moment, saying: "Winning an Emmy certainly has its perks! Thanks, @Kirstiealley! #dwtsallstars."
He referenced the kiss on Tuesday's results show while talking to Alley and Chmerkovskiy and joked that he had to sleep on the couch that night. Bergeron has been married to his wife, Lois, for about 30 years now. They have two daughters.
On the premiere, retired NFL star Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke received the highest score - 24.5 out of 30 points for their Cha Cha Cha (Read a recap of the episode).
