OTRC: Shawn Johnson: Facing possible 'DWTS: All-Stars' elimination was terrifying

Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough talk to OTRC.com after the September 25, 2012 episode of 'Dancing With The Stars.'

Shawn Johnson says standing on stage awaiting elimination on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars: All Stars" is "terrifying."

Johnson, 20, appears on the dancing series with new ballroom partner, Derek Hough. The retired American artistic gymnast took home the mirror ball trophy in 2009 with former partner Mark Ballas. Despite her previous win, she says that she still has some insecurities.

"Standing up on that stage tonight was terrifying," Johnson told OTRC.com's George Pennacchio after the September 25 show. "It was just a horrible feeling - I just don't like it."

The gymnast and her partner received 22 out of 30 points from the judges for their Foxtrot on the season premiere of the dancing competition on Monday. Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus came in last place during the show, earning a 17 out of 30 for their Cha Cha Cha, and were the first out of the 13 couples to be eliminated.

The dancing duo is set to perform the Jive for the second week of the competition, and while Hough is excited, Johnson isn't too thrilled.

"It's fun," Hough said. "I really like the song, and I like the energy, and I like what we've done so far, and I'm excited about it.

"I don't like the Jive," Johnson added. "It's so fast... We are going to have fun, it's going to be fun - and I'm going to be wild."

On the premiere episode, retired NFL star Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke received the highest score - 24.5 out of 30 points for their Cha Cha Cha (Read a recap of the episode).
