On Thursday, Rashaw Pickett, 34, was brought back to Southern California from Las Vegas, where he was arrested last week.
Police said Pickett is one of the men caught on surveillance video dropping through the roof of a Santa Ana check-cashing store in one of nine takeover robberies that date back to July 2011.
Authorities said the robbers cut holes in store roofs and wore yellow work vests to avoid suspicion. According to investigators, Pickett saw himself on the news and fled to Las Vegas. Tips from viewers led to his arrest. At least one other suspect is still at large.
