Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow recently talked about their musical comedy drama "Pitch Perfect," admitting that the film's shower scene was "pretty uncomfortable" - at first.
"The shower scene was a really fun day," Kendrick said in a recent interview provided by Universal Pictures. "It started out pretty awkward. I mean, Brittany and I, we had gotten to know each other a little bit, but we had never seen each other naked. So it was actually pretty uncomfortable to start that day."
"By the end of the day, like it was hot in there, it was humid," Kendrick continued. "There were like a million people standing around and like by the time we'd been doing it for like a couple hours, they would hand us our robes and we were like, 'just forget it, it's hot, we've seen everything - it's going to be fine... we're bonding.'"
The comedy film follows Beca, played by Kendrick, who is a freshman at Barden University. She is convinced to join The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group, and befriends Brittany Snow's character, Chloe. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.
Kendrick and Snow went on to say that there really was some rivalry between the boys and the girls, off the screen as well as off the screen.
"Let's just be clear though, the boys could kick our butts," Kendrick said. "Most of the boys came from the a cappella world, and we were just trying to like, catch up, so they could school us any day of the week."
"It was kind of hard to watch when the boys would go up to do their performance for the producers, and then we had to go up, and do it right after them," Snow continued. "They would just be like, you know blowing us away, and I think that kind of rivalry, even though we loved them as people, you know we were all close friends, we kind of had this thing where we were like, 'hey, we've got to get it together! We have to prove that we're really good' - it actually pushed us a little bit."
The movie also stars actress Rebel Wilson of "Bridesmaids," as well as "Workaholics" actor Adam Devine.
Kendrick, 27, is known for her role in films such as "Up in the Air," "50/50," "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Twilight."
Snow, 26, is known for her role in films such as "Hairspray," "Prom Night" and "John Tucker Must Die."
