OTRC: Melanie Lynskey of 'Two and a Half Men' files for divorce from Jimmi Simpson

Melanie Lynskey filed for divorce from Jimmi Simpson, her husband of five years, OTRC.com has confirmed.

The "Two and a Half Men" actress filed her petition on September 25 in Los Angeles, court record show. The 35-year-old actress starred with Simpson, 36, on the 2002 Stephen King miniseries "Rose Red." The actors married in April 2007 and have no children.

Lynskey made her film debut opposite Kate Winslet in the 1994 film "Heavenly Creatures" and portrayed Rose in "Two and a Half Men."

The actress has also appeared in films like "Shattered Glass," "Sweet Home Alabama," "But I'm a Cheerleader," "Detroit Rock City," "Up in the Air," "Ever After: A Cinderella Story," "Away We Go" and "The Informant!"

She appeared in three films in 2012 including "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," " Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" and "Hello I Must Be Going," which opened this year's Sundance Film Festival.

Simpson is likely best known for his role on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" as Liam McPoyle. He has also appeared on shows like "My Name is Earl," "24," "Psych," "Party Down" and "How I Met Your Mother."

Simpson had roles in films including "Herbie: Fully Loaded," "Zodiac," "The Invention of Lying" "Date Night" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."
