Sheriff's deputies discovered more than 2,000 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of more than $6 million in a raid on three homes in the San Gabriel Valley on Wednesday.

According to authorities, a tip led deputies to the homes in Diamond Bar and Hacienda Heights.

Along with the 2,000-plus marijuana plants, authories found approximately 20 pounds of finished product in the rental properties.

Detectives also learned that electricity was being stolen from Southern California Edison (SCE) at all three of the locations. SCE representatives are in the process of estimating their total loss.
