Bristol Palin opens up about the HBO film "Game Change," says my mom is "way hotter" than Julianne Moore, who portrayed Sarah Palin in the film.
"I don't think she's a good interpreter of my mom. I think my mom is way hotter than that," Bristol Palin told E! News of Moore. "I think she doesn't have that accent. It's kind of silly, but my mom's awesome."
Moore won the 2012 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for her portrayal of Palin. In her acceptance speech, she said, "I feel so validated because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down."
Palin, the former governor of Alaska and former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, has often been parodied in the media, most notably by Tina Fey on "Saturday Night Live." "Game Change" depicts her experiences campaigning as the running mate of John McCain, played by Ed Harris, ahead of the 2008 election and debuts on March 10. It is based largely on a book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.
After losing the 2008 election, Palin went on to become a reality star. She and her family appeared on "Sarah Palin's Alaska," which premiered in 2010 on TLC. The show followed their adventures in Wasilla, Alaska, showcasing their hunting trips, Eskimo bingo games, interactions with bears and also featured a crossover camping trip with Kate Gosselin and her eight children from the network's other series, "Kate Plus 8."
21-year-old Bristol, whose teenage pregnancy during the 2008 vice presidential campaign was a controversial issue, also appears on her own reality series, "Bristol Palin: Life's A Tripp," named after her 3-year-old son Tripp.
The single mother and reality star recently returned to the dance floor for "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars" and on October 1, she and partner Mark Ballas danced to her favorite song, Gretchen Wilson's country anthem "Redneck Woman."
Palin's mother was singing and dancing in the audience, which didn't surprise her daughter.
"I think she's a redneck woman too, I think we both are," Palin told OTRC.com of her mother, Sarah Palin, after the October 1 episode. "It was a fun night, who cares what the judges scores are?"
When asked if her mother would ever consider competing on "Dancing With The Stars," Bristol told E! News, "I don't think she'd ever have time to do the show.
